JOHN-HOPKINS BULLDOG CLAMP
JOHN-HOPKINS BULLDOG CLAMP
The John-Hopkins Bulldog Clamps are hemostatic instruments that are primarily used in cardiothoracic surgery for partially occluding the blood flow in arteries and veins, thereby preventing hemorrhage.
- Slightly Curved Serrated Jaws For Atraumatic Occlusion.
- Cross Action Spring Handle For Enhanced Aperture Force.
- Available In Multiple Sizes For Clamping Different Vessels.
The John-Hopkins Bulldog Clamp offer a wide variety of benefits to cardiothoracic surgeons. These benefits play an important role to efficiently control the blood flow.
For instance, the clamps come with slightly curved jaws featured with fine, horizontal serrations. Moreover, this particular design assists surgeons in grasping the peripheral or major vessels without injuring their walls.
Besides, the handles are crossed and provide a spring mechanism. This feature allows surgeons to press the ridged, flat handles with their fingers, and cause a gentle press force on the vessel for blocking the blood flow.
